Old Testament Isaiah 55:10-11
For just as from heaven, rain and snow come down,
Not returning until earth is watered, leaving it fertile, fruitful,
Giving one who sows, seed, giving one who eats, bread,
So shall be word going forth from me,
This shall not return void.
Old Testament Isaiah 45:3
Thus says God,
You will be given treasures, bursting through darkness,
Riches that have been hidden away,
You will see I am Lord, God
calling you and naming you.
Old Testament Isaiah 43: (1-2, 4, 18-19)
Now says the Lord, who created and formed you,
Fear not, for I have called you in name, you are mine.
When you pass through water, I will be with you, in rivers you shall not drown.
When you walk through fire you shall not be burned, flames will not consume you.
Because you are precious, because I love you,
Remember not events past; things long ago, consider not,
See I am doing something new.
